<p>On March 4, 2026, the U.S. House of Representatives voted <a href="https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2026/h83" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong data-start="135" data-end="162">357–65 </strong></a>to block a resolution that would have forced the public release of sexual misconduct and harassment reports involving members of Congress. The proposal, introduced by U.S. Representative <span class="hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline"><span class="whitespace-normal"><strong>Nancy Mace</strong> (R-SC)</span></span>, was instead referred back to the U.S. House Ethics Committee, effectively preventing the disclosures from becoming public.</p>
