We keep being told that both sides of America’s political divide are equally culpable for violent rhetoric and violent acts. It’s a lie.

Virtually all of it comes from the political left. It wasn’t right-wingers who shot President Donald Trump and murdered health care executive Brian Thompson in New York and conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah in cold blood.

It wasn’t Young Republicans who attacked a Turning Point USA event on the University of California, Berkeley, campus last week, beating up a TPUSA staffer.… Continue Reading

Written by Daniel Horowitz

Gay marriage was not just a step down the slippery slope toward today’s transgender dystopia. It was the first manifestation of it. Now that a broad reawakening has exposed the harms of gender ideology and the denial of natural law, Republicans must press beyond protecting women’s sports and opposing child castration. They must return to the root of the problem: the redefinition of marriage itself.

Marriage is the foundation of human civilization, not a mere “social construct.”… Continue Reading

Written by Alyssa Sonnenburg

Governor JB Pritzker has been forthcoming and direct in articulating his desires to make Illinois the “abortion capital” of the United States.

In July of this year, Pritzker signed the Birth Equity Act (HB 5142) into law, which mandates insurance companies in Illinois cover the cost of abortion without any deductibles, extra costs, or copays.

In the state of Illinois, you can kill your baby at any point, for any reason, and with no added impact to your wallet.… Continue Reading

Showcasing her deep and abiding commitment to the pro-abortion cause, Vice President Kamala Harris has come out in support of a damaging U.S. Senate rules change. In the future, if Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and the White House, the Vice President’s proposed rule change would likely make it possible to pass a federal law imposing a “right” to abortion on all 50 states.

The United States Senate is sometimes referred to as the world’s greatest deliberative body.… Continue Reading

Could there be anything more creepy?

Last weekend, the “second gentleman” of the United States, Douglass Emhoff, took to X to post his personal support of child killing for convenience:

The stakes of this election couldn't be higher. It's time for men to step up for reproductive freedom. https://t.co/WCboun9eOW

— Doug Emhoff (@DouglasEmhoff) August 31, 2024

I understand the politics behind the post. Since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v Wade, Democrats have been capitalizing financially and electorally on the issue of aborting children in the womb.… Continue Reading

In the real world, no nationwide abortion ban is going to pass Congress, so Donald Trump will never have the opportunity to veto it. As a practical matter, concerns from pro-life activists amount to nothing because nothing is going to happen at the federal level. But for Trump and JD Vance, how they have improvised answers to the concerns of pro-life voters could hurt them more than help them. At the local level, the pro-life movement is on defense and losing every state that puts the matter up to a public vote.… Continue Reading

Within hours of her being announced as President Biden’s presumed replacement as the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris’ moderate makeover began.

Journalists reflexively began gushing over her “historic” candidacy and centrist views.

The love bombing and sheer dishonesty is a replay of 2020, when she ran for vice president as a supposed moderate.

The facts loudly spoke otherwise. As a U.S. senator from California from 2017 to 2021, she had a more leftist voting record even than socialist U.S.… Continue Reading

Republicans and many independents do not believe in the term “independent fact-checkers” when it comes to federal elections. Fact-checkers predictably defend Democrats from GOP “misinformation” in election season. Democrat extremism on abortion is one topic where the fact-“checkers” are the fact-manglers.

Take Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy in Montana. On July 10, PolitiFact broke out the “False” flag for something Sheehy said in a June 8 debate:

The U.S. Supreme Court works in strange and mysterious ways.

It can enrage the progressive left with a solidly constitutional ruling like Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022), which overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion to the states.

But it can also amaze and frustrate conservatives, as when it refused before and after the 2020 election to review Pennsylvania officials’ unconstitutional changes to election procedures.

“We failed to settle this dispute before the election and thus provide clear rules.… Continue Reading

Why do so many women, a majority of them, support Joe Biden? Is it because of his abortion stance?

There was a surge of support for him in 2022 after the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v Wade decision. Is that the reason? Are women so committed to the “my body, my choice” mantra of the left that they can’t see beyond this issue?

I don’t understand.

For those of us in blue states, it isn’t a stretch to imagine how this would play out for the Second Amendment.… Continue Reading

The visit by Vice President Kamala Harris to a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in St. Paul, the first ever visit by a president or vice president to an abortion clinic, is getting the considerable attention it deserves.

When America’s vice president visits and pays homage to the nation’s largest abortion provider, it’s news. And what she said there is also news.

Harris predictably distorted truth and reality, pitching the boilerplate left-wing headline calling the destruction of our unborn health care.… Continue Reading

On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court of the United States released its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. In Dobbs, the Court overturned its disastrous 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade that created an abortion-on-demand regime throughout the United States. Now, the elected branches of government are free to make abortion policy without interference from federal courts.

Following the Court’s decision in Dobbs, legislatures in pro-life states across the nation have taken steps to curtail or dramatically reduce the availability of abortion.… Continue Reading

Most pundits credit the Democrats’ election victories last Tuesday to the nation’s apparently unquenchable lust for abortion.

They have a point.

Democrats kept the focus off potent issues such as crime, raging inflation, millions of illegal immigrants, the war on domestic energy production, and President Biden’s bizarre behavior.

Using abortion like a club, Democrats in Virginia flipped the state House and kept the Senate, albeit by paper-thin majorities. They kept control in Fairfax and Loudoun counties.… Continue Reading

Over the years, former president Donald Trump’s position on abortion has shifted, as this video collage demonstrates. In 1999, Trump said he hated abortion, but that he was also very pro-choice and would not support a ban on partial-birth abortion. In 2015, he said he was pro-life with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. In 2016, he said women who obtain an abortion should be punished, a position on which he quickly backtracked.… Continue Reading

In his column, Donald Trump Owes Pro-Lifers (September 29), William McGurn has made some important points about the significance of the pro-life movement in electing Donald Trump President in 2016.

First, however, Mr. McGurn mentions Trump’s recent attack on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for signing a six-week abortion ban. Trump is calling it a “terrible thing.” The Florida law is called federalism in action, Mr. President.

Mr. McGurn correctly reminds us of the two major events which were crucial in providing overwhelming, and probably decisive, pro-life support for Trump in 2016.… Continue Reading

Did you know that debating issues in Congress is part of the culture war and is bad for democracy?

That’s what The Washington Post (motto: “Democracy Dies in Darkness”) implied in its front-page story after the Republican-led House approved the National Defense Authorization Act in a 219-210 party-line vote.

The bill authorizes an $886 billion defense budget and rolls back some of the Democrats’ schemes aimed at turning America into a Marxist version of Sodom and Gomorrah.… Continue Reading

How many voters know that the Democratic Party supports legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy on demand for virtually any reason? How many voters know this position aligns with only six other countries in the world — three of them, not incidentally, being North Korea, Vietnam and China?

How many voters know that Democrats want to pass a federal law banning states from stopping sex-selective abortions or the dismembering of the post-viable unborn or the requirement of parental and guardian notification for minors before getting abortions?… Continue Reading

Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has ramped up his efforts to expand and protect the abortion industry and turn California into an “abortion sanctuary.” He launched billboards in several pro-life states encouraging women to come to California to receive abortions. He has signed a dozen radical abortion bills, including a bill to block other states from enforcing pro-life laws.
In the space of a week, we saw three children and three adults executed at a Christian school in Nashville, the indictment of former President Donald Trump, and the advent of the national “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

We also saw the current White House occupant awkwardly joking at length about his love of ice cream before addressing the Nashville massacre. The word “inappropriate” is wildly inadequate. Within moments, he segued into a gun control rant.… Continue Reading

In our materialistic modern age, we sometimes need reminders that Lucifer is real and up to no good. And that God is infinitely more powerful.

Years ago, LGBTQ activists picketed a church in Anchorage, Alaska, because the church opposed a gay rights ordinance. The protesters noticed a guy dressed in a devil suit with a pitchfork marching beside them. When they asked what he was doing, he said, “Oh, the pastor sent me out here.… Continue Reading

The divisions in our country go far beyond conservative versus liberal or Republican versus Democrat. Not that the parties are unimportant. More on that in a minute.

It’s right versus wrong and whether we’ll be able to pass on America’s heritage of liberty and prosperity to our children and grandchildren.

One side — the progressive, Marxist left — wants to expand government to intrude into every human activity except one: sexuality. For that, they seek to eradicate all moral, cultural and legal restraints.… Continue Reading

Nobody seems to know who leaked the U.S. Supreme Court’s draft in the Dobbs case overturning Roe v. Wade. Nobody seems to know how many serious adverse effects occurred shortly after COVID-19 shots. Nobody seems to know how the FBI was turned into a left-wing political weapon.

“Mainstream” media doesn’t find these things worth pursuing.

Thanks to an exhaustive investigative analysis by The Washington Post, however, we now know how many parents — 38 — around the country have challenged Jonathan Evison’s book “Lawn Boy” in school libraries.… Continue Reading

On Sunday October 16, the Daily Herald urged a “No” vote on the top-of-the-ballot question on Amendment 1.

Illinois Family Action, like other freedom-loving and higher-taxes-loathing conservative organizations, is grateful for the newspaper’s rejection of Amendment 1. Interestingly, the Herald‘s editorial board also skewered some proponents who tried to use the abortion issue as a reason to vote for Amendment 1.

The Daily Herald on September 29 hosted a joint endorsement session with multiple newspapers around the state. … Continue Reading

If you want to know what Democrats are attacking at any given time, just watch how they label something. It’s the opposite of what it would mean to any normal person.

For instance, “reproductive care” is not about reproducing, that is, having babies. It’s about abortion or preventing pregnancies.

“Gender affirming” or “gender confirming” policies do not verify actual genders. Instead, they deny biology and elevate delusions into enforced falsehoods. They should be called “gender denying” policies.… Continue Reading

The recent reversal of Roe v. Wade, acting like a starter’s pistol at a track meet, has initiated a new round of corporate social activism and virtue-signaling. Many businesses pledged to cover or reimburse U.S. employees who need to travel to gain an abortion if access is limited because of specific state laws.… Continue Reading

The U.S. Supreme Court decision of Dodd v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, is a victory for all who support life. The decision ends federal protection of abortion and sends the subject back to individual states to determine how and if abortion will be allowed in the state. It is estimated that at least 26 states will have strong restrictions or bans on abortion. While it indeed should be celebrated, conservatives should not let our guard down; the war for the pro-life community wages on.… Continue Reading

Last week the Supreme Court of the United States handed down a number of rulings reaffirming an originalist interpretation of America’s Constitution and its federalist assumptions. Perhaps the most important of these was the decision to rescind Roe v. Wade and return the issue of abortion to the people and their respective states, where it belonged in the first place. This was a tremendous victory for millions of faithful Christians who have fought for decades to see this day.… Continue Reading

One of the central justifications for the Left’s proposed court-packing scheme is to claim that the reversal of Roe v. Wade is so radically out of step with the American public that it is an undemocratic, minoritarian power grab. Not only is the argument based on the unconstitutional notion that justices should weigh the vagaries of public opinion before ruling but it also relies on the irreconcilable claim that empowering the public to vote on an issue unmentioned in the U.S.… Continue Reading

The gap is growing wider by the day in the culture war. In fact, it is heating up.

The White House “Proclamation on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Pride Month, 2022” should help clarify what’s at stake.

This is no small matter. It’s at the heart of the left’s strategy to turn America into a place where no one dares espouse traditional morality. Their ultimate aim is to criminalize Christianity, not usher in tolerance.… Continue Reading

The confirmation hearings in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson have been a relatively peaceful affair. In comparison to the ruthless attacks on Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, there has been relative civility surrounding the D.C Court of Appeals judge. While it is likely that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will be confirmed, it is good to take a dive into her actual rulings and responses to questioning, not just her resume.… Continue Reading

When lawyer Sarah Weddington stood up in the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 11, 1972, to present the pro-abortion argument in the case of Roe v. Wade, she was legalistically careful in the language she used to describe whom exactly an abortion aborted.

She avoided normal human terms like “unborn child” or “baby” — and, most importantly, “person.” She preferred “fetus.”

Presumably, this was because the Fourteenth Amendment states,

Could the Fourteenth Amendment, specifically the Equal Protection Clause, be the means by which Roe v. Wade is overturned? Dr. Steve Jacobs, program director of Illinois Right to Life, joins IFI’s Monte Larrick and Jenna Smith to explain why he is confident the U. Beginning with the question of what “pro-life” really means, Dr. Jacobs discusses his reservations about basing law on states’ rights and shares why he feels the issue of equality ought to be the essence of the pro-life movement.… Continue Reading

In the name of “democracy,” Democrats want to get rid of our current system of government.

That’s no small thing, given that the Constitution has held up for 240 years — longer than any other. The founders’ design of a federal republic with representative decision-making and checks and balances has ensured unparalleled freedom and prosperity, unlike “democratic people’s” regimes worldwide.

Some liberals are so angry at U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, West Virginia Democrat, for capsizing Joe Biden’s $5 trillion socialist Build Back Better bill that they want to do away with the U.S.… Continue Reading

Rachel Maddow is one of America’s most popular proponents of socialism. Government is never big enough for Maddow. Bernie Sanders has a friend in Maddow. But when the subject is abortion, you will not find a more enthusiastic libertarian.

After the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Nov. 30 on Mississippi’s law banning the termination of unborn children after 15 weeks, Maddow championed lawyer Julie Rikelman for the Center for Reproductive Rights for arguing this is “about American women being forced by the government to give birth against their will.”… Continue Reading

The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments this week on whether to overturn its Roe v. Wade decision of 48 years ago that legalized abortion.

In May, the U.S. Supreme Court put abortion on the docket for its upcoming session by agreeing to hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, both nominated by Republican presidents, have both written absurd opinions on abortion laws.

The case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which the U.S. Supreme Court will hear this year, could give them an opportunity to redeem themselves.

At issue in this case is a Mississippi law that bans most abortions after a baby’s 15th gestational week. The question: Can a state prohibit doctors from killing unborn babies who are not yet old enough to survive outside the womb?… Continue Reading

Six months ago, the idea of expanding the size of the U.S. Supreme Court was side-stepped by presidential candidate Joe Biden, and the issue seemed to wane. But now, “court packing” has surfaced once again—and in two forms. The first is an executive order from President Biden creating a commission to study possible reforms of the U.S. Supreme Court. The second is legislation proposed by progressive Democrats to increase the court’s size by four new justices.… Continue Reading

Another anniversary of Roe v. Wade has come and gone. And in recent days, the pro-life movement has suffered some serious political setbacks.

Outgoing President Donald Trump was surprisingly pro-life. In contrast, incoming President Joe Biden, although he is a Catholic, has become so pro-abortion that he believes in abortion for any reason up to the very moment of birth—and that you and I should pay for it.

Vice President Kamala Harris is just a heartbeat away from the presidency.… Continue Reading

We shine our Spotlight this week on an informative, post-election conversation between Monte Larrick and Eric Scheidler, Executive Director of Pro-Life Action League. They discuss our newest U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett; the likelihood of repealing Roe v. Wade; bubble zones; and various issues that might be revisited by SCOTUS.

After the break, Eric details the Pro-Life Action League’s efforts amidst the pandemic. He also addresses probable and possible goals of a Joe Biden administration: reinstatement of Planned Parenthood’s Title X funding, repeal of the Hyde Amendment, a federal abortion law, and more.… Continue Reading

Soon after his release from Walter Reed Military Hospital where he received treatment for the coronavirus, President Donald Trump prioritized communicating the importance of pro-life legislation. Yesterday, President Trump posted a series of tweets concerning his pro-life convictions by reiterating his stance on the abortion issue and drawing attention to Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s position.

In his video announcement, he says of Biden, “Through all his trials, he’s never once forgotten the values or the moral fiber that his parents passed on to him and that made him who he is.” But Obama is incorrect.

While Bernie Sanders’ stances on most policies are troubling for most conservatives in America, his stance on abortion is one that all Americans should find particularly troubling. Sanders is a clear-cut, elderly socialist, which should be a huge red flag to all Americans. He is also completely pro-abortion and pro-Planned Parenthood. The fact that he is the frontrunner for the Democratic party should not shock any of us as the Democrats continue to push the limits of radical ideology; supporting abortions up until birth is just as radical as defending the dictatorship of Fidel Castro.… Continue Reading

Former Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE) maintains a solid lead over his Democratic rivals, portraying himself as the more reasonable alternative to what he calls his far-left primary opponents. Yet his own policy positions have historically been demonstrably more radical than the mainstream America he claims to represent.

What many people remember about Biden is his lifelong penchant for making embarrassing gaffs that elicit groans from his supporters and delight his opponents, such as when he addressed a wheelchair bound politician at a campaign rally: “I’m told Chuck Graham, state senator, is here.… Continue Reading

The first rule of any Marxist revolution is that rules are fine if they advance the cause or cripple opponents. The rules can be discarded the minute they get in the way.

That’s the way America’s Marxists, socialists and many liberals operate when it comes to the U.S. Constitution, especially the First Amendment.

Here’s the relevant portion:

So, when the U.S. Supreme Court numbered abortion among our precious constitutional rights, we expected everlasting bliss? Anything but the present knock-down-drag-out over Roe v. Wade and its prospects for survival?

I mean, we’re stunned to see state legislatures moving to outlaw abortion? Why? On what grounds? America is presently absorbing a major political science lesson. To wit, a social revolution commenced and overseen by a coterie of philosopher kings — Platonic guardians, you could say — is a non-starter.… Continue Reading

One more state has come to its senses.

There’s a wave of pro-life bills being passed in the Southern states.
No one who complained actually addressed the core issue of whether or not there really is a moral difference between killing people based on their ethnicity (e.g.,… Continue Reading

It’s one of the most curious approaches to a lopsided public policy battle I’ve seen, and yet it continues to work. The propensity of pro-abortion advocates to play the underdog is so frighteningly effective, I have to ask if the portion of the general population that falls for it has taken complete leave of their senses.

I understand this approach meets the “speak truth to power” mantra that the political left has adopted. … Continue Reading

Whether Americans like it or not, abortion has become the defining issue of the two main parties. A Democrat can be many things – a moderate; a corporatist; or a shrill, uninformed socialist – but he must be pro-choice, as shown in the recent move to repeal the pro-life Mexico City policy, which prevents foreign aid going to organizations that fund or encourage abortions. The same applies to the Republicans, who range from government-friendly “moderates” to staunch say-no-to-all-spending libertarians but who all must try to uphold the rights of the unborn – except Gov.… Continue Reading

We start off our first Spotlight podcast of September with a timely conversation as Monte Larrick hosts Steve Karlen, North American Director of 40 Days for Life. This year’s 40 Days for Life campaign will run from September 26 through November 4.

The purpose of the campaign is “to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigils outside abortion centers to end abortion.” Steve stresses that prayer is the foundation of 40 Days for Life and the means by which God’s people are able to “overturn Roe v.… Continue Reading

And the warning comes from the academic elite, from students, faculty, and alumni of Yale University Law School. Yes, people will die if Justice Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed.

This is the latest example of apocalyptic fear-mongering associated with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Much like King Nebuchadnezzar’s instructions to the three Hebrew boys, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has telegraphed to Judge Brett Kavanaugh a way out of the fiery furnace of confirmation. Kavanaugh need not bow down to a golden image, but he must give obeisance to Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark abortion case. “The onus is on the nominee,” Schumer has declared, “to show where he or she might stand” on Roe. … Continue Reading

Over the weekend, Tomi Lahren argued that conservatives should give up on the abortion fight and stop trying to overturn Roe. She said that it would be a “mistake” to “challenge a position” that “most Americans support.” We should focus on taxes, immigration, and foreign policy and “stop messing with social issues.” The government is incompetent, Lahren reasoned, and therefore it should stop trying to “regulate social issues.”

Although she personally wouldn’t get an abortion, she insists, she also believes the government has no right to “dictate” on the subject.… Continue Reading

The U.S. Supreme Court’s longest serving justice announced his retirement shortly after casting the deciding vote on a string of decisions that were seen as wins for the conservative side of the bench. Kennedy’s stepping down didn’t come as a surprise. There have long been rumors in Washington that he was considering hanging up his robe. With a Republican-controlled Congress and White House, the timing couldn’t be better, so as to ensure his seat would be filled with someone from the right side of the ideological spectrum.… Continue Reading

By the end of World War II, the beautiful foundational ideas and ideals of our constitutional republic had already been significantly undermined by the Democratic Party. The two pillars of our constitutional republic, federalism and checks and balances among our three branches of government, were being disrupted and distorted. The distortions expressed by so-called progressivism had begun the transformation of our political and economic system, especially under Woodrow Wilson and the Democrat Party, and intensified under the policies and programs of the New Deal.… Continue Reading

Post-modern progressives, contrary to popular belief, are not irreligious. They worship at the altar of government power, lifting the chalice of “diversity” and eating the bread of “tolerance.”

Under their arms they carry certain portions of the U.S. Constitution, plus copies of court rulings that are considered sacred and “settled” – but only if they advance progressive notions of progress. All others are open to revision.

For example, progressives have pledged to overturn the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling that recognizes the individual right to collective political speech in unions and nonprofits.… Continue Reading

Written by Daniel Horowitz

This week, President Donald Trump fulfilled his promise to nominate a very qualified and intelligent conservative judge. Neil Gorsuch is likely a very good pick. However, given the past history, the enormous post-constitutional pressure even in some circles of the conservative legal movement, and so much terrible court precedent, it is yet to be determined if Gorsuch has the resolve to not get sucked into the swamp.

This point was best encapsulated in a statement from U.S.… Continue Reading

Is there a constitutional principle so sacrosanct that it can abide no exceptions? Perhaps the First Amendment? Nope. Courts have placed reasonable restrictions on free speech and the practice of religion. You can’t libel someone, nor can you sacrifice live animals. The Second Amendment? No again, as any number of gun laws attest. One can find reasonable exceptions to just about every constitutional principle.

But 43 years ago, trawling through the penumbra and emanations of the Constitution, Justice Harry Blackmun found an inviolable right that had somehow evaded the Founding Fathers: the right to kill a child in utero—mere inches from being fully born, even—for any reason or no reason.

Illinois Family Spotlight recaps the recent election, discussing how pro-family issues may be effected with our newly elected leaders. Will our new president actually be pro-life? Can Roe v. Wade be overturned? Is the Illinois legislature growing more conservative? Monte, Dave, John Biver, and Ralph Rivera (Illinois Citizens for Life) answer these questions and more.… Continue Reading

A law restricting the federal funding of abortion that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton supports repealing is credited by a recent study with saving more than 2 million lives.

The Hyde Amendment, a federal law passed almost exactly 40 years ago in September 1976, prohibits the federal coverage of most abortion procedures.

Hyde is credited with preventing the abortion of approximately 2 million people over the past four decades, according to a report published by the pro-life research group the Charlotte Lozier Institute.

Moral clarity alert. The kid gloves are off. Time for some serious soul searching.

You proponents of the torturous live-dismemberment of children in the womb, just knock it off already. Your pro-abortion euphemisms – “pro-choice,” “reproductive freedom,” “women’s rights” and other such propagandist nonsense – have run their shameful course. As you regressive “progressives” like to say, “The science is settled.” Pre-born babies are objectively and empirically distinct persons with emotions, autonomy (though in a dependent stage of human development, not unlike post-birth babies) and the unalienable human rights intrinsic to all human beings.… Continue Reading

Written by Gary L. Bauer

At the White House this morning, President Obama announced his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court — Judge Merrick Garland of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

The media are dutifully attempting to spin Garland as a “centrist” or a “consensus choice.” Consider this headline from the Los Angeles Times: “It’s Going To Be Hard For Conservatives To Oppose The Careful, Moderate Merrick Garland.”

Don’t be fooled, my friends.… Continue Reading
