One big word worth learning is “schadenfreude.”

Schadenfreude is “pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune.”

Nothing better captures the perverse pleasure that Democrats are deriving from the pain inflicted on our country caused by the government shutdown.

Democrats precipitated this shutdown to force Republicans to back off efforts to turn around our suicidal growth of government spending and debt.

House Republicans passed a continuing resolution ready for the president’s signature to fund the government, but Democrats said no.… Continue Reading

If the national media can be counted on to spin anything dramatically toward the Democrats, it’s a government shutdown. They feel passionately that the Democrats are the Party of Government, and the Republicans are the Haters of Government, so who naturally favors shutting it all down?

Even before the shutdown occurred, NPR and PBS issued their poll warning Republicans would get more of the blame than Democrats. That’s why those partisan hacks deserved defunding.… Continue Reading

Democrats are circling the wagons, warning that President Trump and fellow Republicans are out for “revenge.” They are counting on the media to misrepresent any attempts at accountability and justice.

People need to be held responsible for the Biden administration’s lawlessness, especially for the bald-faced deception over President Biden’s mental decline. Somebody other than Mr. Biden has been running the country into the ditch for the past four years, and Americans deserve to know who it was.… Continue Reading

First, the candidates themselves start campaigning harder than ever. Second, those who are especially civics-minded begin to non-partisanly clamor at everyone else to “Do your patriotic duty and vote!” And third? We all have that one Uncle Bob (or equivalent figure in your life) who just can’t stand either of the two main parties and is proudly and purely casting his ballot for some third-party candidate you never heard of before.… Continue Reading

In recent years, we have detected that Democrats and Republicans are increasingly finding themselves further apart politically, socially, and spiritually. I don’t find Republicans have taken any major steps away from what they always believed in, God, family, and country.

Democrats, on the other hand, are unrecognizable as to what they were 50 or 60 years ago. Like Republicans, Democrats believed in equality, democracy, a strong military, and were anti-communist.

According to Pew Research, Republicans that are certain or fairly certain that there is a God are at 90%. … Continue Reading

Representative Nancy Pelosi, the former U.S. House speaker and one of the most prolific gaslighters in history, let out enough gas this week to power the West Coast.

Asked about the Democrats’ choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to run for vice president alongside presidential nominee Kamala Harris, she emitted: “Tim Walz I know very well.
Imagine if Republicans were to seize a pivotal moment to engage in a sustained national debate over issues like inflation, crime, national security threats, and the costs associated with Joe Biden’s border policies. No political analyst would suggest that Democrats could withstand such focused scrutiny on top national concerns where a supermajority of voters oppose Biden’s policies.

So, instead of avoiding a budget fight in September, why not confront it head-on?… Continue Reading

The visit by Vice President Kamala Harris to a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in St. Paul, the first ever visit by a president or vice president to an abortion clinic, is getting the considerable attention it deserves.

When America’s vice president visits and pays homage to the nation’s largest abortion provider, it’s news. And what she said there is also news.

Harris predictably distorted truth and reality, pitching the boilerplate left-wing headline calling the destruction of our unborn health care.… Continue Reading

Creatio ex nihilo is a Latin phrase used to describe a central theological point of Christianity. It’s an axiom that captures the first event of Genesis: “In the beginning, God created.”

Sometimes, you have to laugh at how obvious the leftists and their media have become in their quest to orchestrate “build back better.” When they’re not shoving irreversible surgery at vulnerable children or abusing the legal system to persecute a former president, they’re pushing the latest iteration of climate hysteria.

This past week, the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Dubai, of all places, released an agreement that calls for “transitioning away from fossil fuels,” which The Washington Post called “the root cause of the climate crisis.”… Continue Reading

Polls show that voters are not thrilled at the prospect of a Trump vs. Biden rerun in the 2024 presidential election. That makes the idea of a fresh third-party candidate more interesting. One might think the media would enjoy a curveball, but there’s one big problem: Democrats think a third-party ticket would sink President Joe Biden.

Just when you thought Leftists couldn’t be more cynical, hypocritical, dishonest, tyrannical, and cruel, they step up to prove you wrong. When Democrats, by whatever janky standards they’ve made up, think Republicans have gone “low,” they–that is, Democrats–dive headlong into the abyss of hypocrisy and nastiness.

They’ve been doing their theatrical performative best to argue that the attack on the Capitol is particularly heinous because of the building’s symbolic significance—which, of course, it has.… Continue Reading

Those who refuse to vote for President Trump because they find his tweets and temperament off-putting are small-minded, myopic, self-indulgent traitors to America. They are indulging their antipathy for Trump and their personal vindictiveness at the expense of America’s future.

There is a loathsome campaign afoot by Never-Trumpers/RINOs/Establishment Republicans (aka the D.C. swamp) to bequeath to the next generation a country of far more oppression, far less liberty, far greater educational indoctrination, a darker economic future, and more threats domestic and foreign.… Continue Reading

An ardent, prayerful, and moral Nancy Pelosi has been called from sitting for her holy-card portrait to lend her aid in getting the president impeached — and the nation torn apart in the process.

She’s been on TV constantly, lecturing America that it’s the moral burden of Democrats to undo the 2016 election by any means necessary. The U.S. Constitution, she keeps saying, demands it. She just never mentions where.

But even as she expends herself, Mother Teresa–like, for the good of humanity on the impeachment crusade, she can still serve other mission fields as well. … Continue Reading

Senator Rand Paul’s recently introduced amendment that would defund Planned Parenthood in the Senate appropriations package for Defense, Health, Human Services, and Education is being blocked by Republicans, he claims.

“Planned Parenthood ends the lives of 320,000 babies each year,” Paul said on the Senate floor Thursday. “That’s about 900 babies every day. Planned Parenthood receives over $400,000,000 of taxpayer money.”

“The government with a wink and a nod tells us that Planned Parenthood doesn’t spend the money on abortions, but everybody knows that the taxpayers really are cross-subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s abortions bills,” he added.… Continue Reading

This week, many Americans are donning flag apparel and singing “God Bless the USA” as they watch fireworks to celebrate America’s heritage. In earlier times, a Fourth of July Celebration was an act of unity, as our nation’s unique blend of people came together to show respect for our country’s icons and traditions and to celebrate its continued success.

Just this week, a Gallup poll asking U.S. adults how proud they are to be Americans showed that for the first time in the poll’s history, only 47 percent responded that they are “extremely proud.”… Continue Reading

One of the fundamental questions that have divided the U.S. this election year — and, in fact, since its founding 240 years ago — concerns the appropriate role of the federal government. A new update of a longstanding Gallup trend shows that Americans continue to favor a smaller role for government, with 54% saying the government is attempting to do too many things that should be left to individuals and businesses, and 41% saying it should do more to solve the country’s problems.… Continue Reading

For conservatives, it’s time to let some hard truths push aside conventional wisdom in the political realm.

First, we need to admit and accept that Republicans in Name Only (RINO) are worse enemies to our cause than Democrats. Every time we accept a RINO instead of a true conservative for any position we guarantee a continuing progressive loss for conservative values. Why? Once RINOs are in office it is nearly impossible to replace them with a true conservative (absent a major scandal or such like) because the moderates (whose votes we need to defeat liberals) will never join with the conservatives to oust them in favor of a conservative. … Continue Reading
