In a moment when Washington D.C. spends with reckless abandon and our national debt towers above $38 trillion, it’s past time we confront a glaring inconsistency in our federal welfare system. Last week, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced the End Welfare for Non-Citizens Act — a bill rooted in fiscal responsibility, the rule of law, and basic fairness to American taxpayers.

As we all know by now, President Donald J. Trump signed into law the One Big Beautiful Bill—a much-needed course correction for a nation in moral and economic decline. This bold legislation champions the dignity of work, the sanctity of family, and the duty of government to serve—not control—its citizens. By providing tax relief to working families, protecting the preborn by defunding abortion mills, and easing the burden on struggling seniors, this bill aligns with biblical principles of stewardship, justice, and compassion.… Continue Reading

“Let’s talk about the deficit.”

That is what U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said on the Senate floor on Monday, June 2.

“For years, Republicans screamed about fiscal responsibility. But now Republicans are backing a bill that could add over $50 trillion to the national debt over 30 years,” Schumer claimed — without citing a source — in a speech about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

“Senate Democrats,” he said, “will fight this bill in committee, on the floor, and in the court of public opinion every step, every day, and every possible way.”… Continue Reading

Our military was not built for urban renewal projects in Kabul or to referee Sunni versus Shia conflicts in Baghdad. Its primary purpose is to protect our country from foreign invaders. If the military cannot be deployed to address the millions of people strategically funneled into the country by ruthless drug cartels — cartels that are killing hundreds of thousands of Americans with fentanyl — then what purpose does it serve? The fact that these individuals do not remain near the border does not transform mass removals into a domestic law enforcement issue; it remains a matter of national defense.… Continue Reading

If there were any doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic exposed widespread corruption in America’s health care establishment, a federal lawsuit should put it to rest.

Filed by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana, Murthy v. Missouri accuses the Biden administration of censoring medical views it dislikes.

So, what did the American Medical Association do? The doctors guild lined up with the censors in an amicus brief.

That’s right. It’s their way or the highway, science be damned.… Continue Reading

Inside the silo of the “legacy media,” they are alarmed that left-tilting government bureaucrats are being discouraged from telling social media platforms what speech they should suppress … in the name of “democracy.”

In 2020, these platforms crushed damaging stories about Hunter Biden and “conspiracy theories” about COVID emerging from a Chinese lab.
Here’s a brief quiz. What do all these events have in common?

Special counsel John Durham’s long-awaited report leaves no doubt that Hillary Clinton’s campaign facilitated the Russian collusion hoax “to vilify Donald Trump” during and after the 2016 presidential election cycle. The corrupt FBI leadership validated the scheme, which led to the first Trump impeachment. Democratic U.S. Representative Adam Schiff of California lied over and over to keep the hoax going.… Continue Reading

[On] Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), conducted a hearing on the issue of COVID-19 interventions. More specifically, the senator invited testimony regarding our military’s new practice of requiring mRNA injections of all our nation’s soldiers. Mr. Johnson’s goal was quite simple and straightforward. He wanted to learn what the available data shows concerning this new drug’s efficacy and potential side effects.

Why is this important?

Well, it is pretty simple.… Continue Reading

Most recently, the cat video website YouTube silenced U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) — a medical doctor — for posting a video in which he stated his studied medical opinion about a vitally important medical issue.… Continue Reading

Senator Rand Paul’s recently introduced amendment that would defund Planned Parenthood in the Senate appropriations package for Defense, Health, Human Services, and Education is being blocked by Republicans, he claims.

“Planned Parenthood ends the lives of 320,000 babies each year,” Paul said on the Senate floor Thursday. “That’s about 900 babies every day. Planned Parenthood receives over $400,000,000 of taxpayer money.”

“The government with a wink and a nod tells us that Planned Parenthood doesn’t spend the money on abortions, but everybody knows that the taxpayers really are cross-subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s abortions bills,” he added.… Continue Reading

Republicans in Congress passed and President Trump signed a 2,200 page $1.3 trillion dollar budget. To say this bill is bad is an understatement. Haven’t you heard this all before? It seems like every other month I’m writing about how Congress passed a horrible budget deal. That’s because this isn’t the first time we’ve crossed this bridge.

This budget funds Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider. It hardly funds a fraction of President Trump’s proposed border wall.… Continue Reading

U.S. Senators Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, and Lindsey Graham all voted in favor of the recent bill to cut major congressional spending geared towards the controversial Planned Parenthood.

The bill cut at least 89 percent of Planned Parenthood’s federal funding as well as major components of Obamacare: the “Independent Payment Advisory Board” and the “excess benefits tax.” Rubio made a statement to LifeNews.com about the importance of the passing bill for him and the American people:

I’m especially proud to support what this bill does to protect innocent unborn children, and increase funding for women’s health care by defunding Planned Parenthood and redirecting the taxpayer dollars it currently receives toward more worthy causes.

The CNBC debate is memorable for many reasons, with the complete lack of preparedness of the moderators standing out as unfortunate circumstance number one. At numerous points during the evening, candidates called out the moderators for the low quality of their questions. Becky Quick was obviously biased against the candidates and repeatedly steered the discussion to “Pay Inequality” only to be viciously rebuffed. At one point, Quick couldn’t remember where she’d heard that Donald Trump was critical of Mark Zuckerberg’s immigration stance.… Continue Reading

On June 26, a narrow majority of U.S. Supreme Court justices struck down the traditional definition of marriage, ruling all 50 states must recognize same-sex unions as marriages.

The four dissenters included the usually mild-mannered Chief Justice John Roberts, who called the majority opinion “dangerous to the rule of law”: “The majority’s decision is an act of will, not legal judgment. The right it announces has no basis in the Constitution or this Court’s precedent.”… Continue Reading

All Republicans should feel relieved, if not jubilant. Lots of winners who helped themselves, and no disastrous losers.

Major gains for Marco Rubio who was lucid, passionate, self-assured, Kennedyesque – cementing his status as everyone’s second choice, which may win him the nomination, ultimately. John Kasich also moved his campaign forward: starting in tenth place (according to the polls) he looked and sounded like a folksy, credible, mainstream contender. Jeb Bush, who had to overcome a recent reputation for bumbling and gaffes, seemed strong, capable, sympathetic, and accessible.… Continue Reading

By Sarah Ferris

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wants to force the Senate to vote on defunding Planned Parenthood this week, as a second undercover video unleashes a new storm of scrutiny of the organization.

Cruz’s office said Tuesday that he plans to file an amendment on the highway bill that would eliminate all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, in addition to an amendment that would fully repeal ObamaCare.

Cruz is the second senator — and the second GOP presidential candidate — who is eying the highway bill as an attempt to defund Planned Parenthood.… Continue Reading

For the first time, a vanilla religious liberty bill similar to those passed in 19 other states was deemed “antigay” per se, and powerful corporations rushed in to punish the people of Indiana economically for their moral views on liberty.… Continue Reading

Unlike other prospective Republican presidential candidates — like former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, whose faith life is an open book — Sen. Rand Paul’s spiritual walk has remained a bit cloudy, at best … that is, until now.

Not your conventional Christian candidate growing up in the same church all his life, Paul, who officially announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidential GOP ticket , has been somewhat of a denominational transient over the years.… Continue Reading

U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) greatest vulnerabilities in the early GOP primaries are his positions on Iran and Israel, according to a private poll commissioned by a group called the Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America.

The Republican PAC, which launched a $1 million ad campaign highlighting Paul’s foreign policy positions this week, conducted the polls of likely Iowa and South Carolina GOP primary voters in February.

While respondents were surveyed on a number of Paul’s potential weaknesses, including his association with conspiracy-minded radio host Alex Jones and opposition to mandatory minimum prison sentences, the polls indicate that Paul’s comments on Iranian nuclear weapons and aid to Israel are his biggest liability with Republicans.… Continue Reading

As U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) officially became the second Republican to formally announce his candidacy for the 2016 presidential election on Tuesday, the 52-year-old obstetrician is already being attacked by conservatives as being “to the left of Obama” when it comes to his foreign policy and openness to negotiating with Iran.

Although Paul was victorious in the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference presidential straw poll in February, some prominent conservatives and even a conservative political action group have wasted no time in jumping on the presidential candidate over his stance on foreign policy issues.… Continue Reading

As Jesus warned, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:25).
Written by Michael Medved

Hillary Clinton’s status as a wealthy celebrity will make it difficult for her to deploy the populist narrative that helped Democratic nominees win the popular vote in five out of the last six presidential elections. How can a woman who boasts a net worth of at least $21 million and hobnobs almost exclusively with well-heeled financial titans and movie stars, plausibly denounce Republicans as the party of the rapacious rich while portraying Democrats as defenders of the downtrodden?… Continue Reading
