A star was born last week in the great state of Maine. State Representative Laurel Libby, a Republican state legislator from the Auburn area, refused to apologize for a social media post criticizing transgender athletes.

Her post showed two photos of the same male pole-vaulter. One was taken at a boys’ event that he didn’t win, and the other showed him atop the podium after winning a girls’ competition. Ms. Libby’s comment was:

“Another day, another instance of an unremarkable male athlete (who couldn’t win against other males) dominating girls’ sports.”

Fox News reported that presidential candidate Kamala Harris affirmed her support of a federal wealth tax.

It’s meant to hit only the “super wealthy”:

“The proposal would impose a minimum tax of 25% on total income, generally inclusive of unrealized capital gains, for all taxpayers with wealth (that is, the difference obtained by subtracting liabilities from assets) greater than $100 million,” the Treasury Department stated in its FY25 revenue proposals. The same proposal was also put forth by the Biden-Harris administration in fiscal year 2024 and in fiscal year 2023, but the minimum taxable amount was 20%.

Ahead of the Democratic National Convention this week, “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream rattled off the latest batch of battleground state polls from New York Times/Siena College to U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), which showed Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Donald Trump by 5 points in Arizona and by 2 points in North Carolina. She also referenced two new national surveys from ABC News/Washington Post and CBS News showing Harris ahead of Trump by 4 points and 3 points in those respective states.… Continue Reading
