Republican congressional candidate Susan Hathaway-Altman (R, unincorporated Geneva) had a very big June 14 as the primary campaign in the 11th Congressional District winds down to its June 28 conclusion.

Early in the morning, the Chicago Tribune published its endorsement of Altman’s candidacy in the IL-11, stating:

“…our endorsement goes to Susan Hathaway-Altman, a business executive…who supports a rollback in federal spending and jump-starting the economy through tax cuts.”

As Illinois Family Action begins looking at the Financial Disclosure statements (FD) of Republican candidates seeking the Republican nominations on June 28 for U.S. House or U.S. Senate, voters have an early look at the kind of Member of Congress they would be if nominated and elected on November 8.

Last week, the suburban Chicagoland’s Daily Herald ran articles about FDs for both congressional candidates and incumbents.

In the Republican primary campaign in the 11th Congressional District, North Aurora Village Trustee Mark Carroll, who’s endorsed by Illinois Family Action (IFA) for IL-11, announced early Thursday evening, May 19, he had received the endorsement of 70th District state Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore), with the following remarks from Keicher:

“It is important to understand that Mark represents adults coming to the table to solve our problems.

The Republican primary race in the Illinois 11th Congressional District enters the beginning of early voting and vote-by-mail ballots hitting the street with a flurry of activity which will crescendo to its finish on June 28.

As previously written, the six Republican candidates vying to challenge Congressman Bill Foster (D, Naperville) this fall are, in ballot order:

• Jerry Evans of Warrenville
• Andrea Heeg of unincorporated Geneva
• Catalina Lauf of Woodstock
• Susan Hathaway-Altman of unincorporated Geneva
• Cassandra Tanner Miller of Elgin
• Mark Carroll of North Aurora, who was endorsed by Illinois Family Action
