“For years, Republicans screamed about fiscal responsibility. But now Republicans are backing a bill that could add over $50 trillion to the national debt over 30 years,” Schumer claimed — without citing a source — in a speech about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

The U.S. Senate was criticized for blocking an anti-human trafficking bill on Tuesday because Senate Democrats objected to the inclusion of anti-abortion language.

A previously bipartisan U.S. Senate bill meant to combat human trafficking is now being blocked by Democrats over an abortion funding provision.

Senate Democrats have threatened to block Senate Bill 178 over a provision added by Republicans regarding abortion funding.
