If there is one man who can fundamentally reform the way the United States Congress does business, it is Dan Webster. Why? For the simple reason that we saw him do it in Florida. I have personally observed him in his role as a public servant for 32 years.

Before serving in Washington, D.C., Dan Webster served in the Florida Legislature for 28 years. He was in the Florida House of Representatives for 18 years and appointed by his colleagues to be Speaker.… Continue Reading

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) provided air support for a revolt underway in the House today, as he called on Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to stop the Iran deal by refusing to hold a vote on the agreement.

Cruz’s mention of GOP leadership drew boos at Wednesday’s rally against the Iran deal on Capitol Hill, which he helped organize. “Hold on: I come not to bury Caesar but to praise him,” Cruz said, quoting from William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.… Continue Reading

The rumors began trickling in about a week before the scheduled vote on April 23: Republican leadership was quietly pushing senators to pull support for subpoenaing Congress’s fraudulent application to the District of Columbia’s health exchange — the document that facilitated Congress’s “exemption” from Obamacare by allowing lawmakers and staffers to keep their employer subsidies.

The application said Congress employed just 45 people.… Continue Reading

Written by Jeff Crouere

It happened again last week, a painful reminder that the GOP leadership in Congress is pathetic. The President’s radical nominee for Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, was confirmed with ten Republican votes. Without Republican votes, Lynch could not have become U.S. Attorney General. Lynch will now replace Eric Holder, the most controversial and racially divisive Attorney General in American history.

In her testimony to Congress, Lynch made it clear that she would continue the policies of her liberal predecessor, support the Obama agenda, and had no problem with the President’s highly questionable use of executive power to grant amnesty to five million illegal immigrants.… Continue Reading

What does it mean for the Republican Party to be a “big tent” party? For conservatives, that means men and women of all races and backgrounds should populate the party. The days of the wealthy-chubby-white guy party should be over.

Others are confused about the purpose for having a political party. They think that it’s a social club organized to help ambitious people reach their goal of holding public office. These confused people want to ignore policy.… Continue Reading

Written by J. Matt Barber

I am no longer a Republican. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and their Democrat-lite, RINO Republican establishment have seen to that. They have betrayed their own constituents. They have actively turned against the American people – the very voters who granted them power to do good.

Even before the gavel has sounded on the Republican-led 114th Congress, these treacherous cowards shamelessly, eagerly, it seems, squandered perhaps the one opportunity they had to stop, in his tracks, America’s first cultural Marxist, anti-American, palpably evil president.… Continue Reading

We are watching the wheels come off the most radical and dangerously incompetent administration in history. “I am not on the ballot this fall,” President Barack Obama proclaims, “but make no mistake: these policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them.”

This statement should be the final nail in the coffin for the Democrats. The GOP should be poised to win a landslide of historic proportions.

So why is there so much debate over whether they’ll win — at all?… Continue Reading

Republican candidates who support abortion and same-sex marriage won’t be getting any love from pro-family groups in the upcoming election. CitizenLink, Family Research Council Action and the National Organization for Marriage have teamed up to urge voters not to support U.S. House candidates Carl DeMaio in California and Richard Tisei in Massachusetts as well as U.S. Senate candidate Monica Wehby in Oregon.

“The undersigned organizations… will mount a concerted effort to urge voters to refuse to cast ballots for them in the November election,” the groups wrote in a letter to Republican leaders.… Continue Reading

All this talk of Republicans on the verge of impeaching President Barack Obama is nonsense, stoked by Democrats and a few wistful conservatives who dream aloud about what, in a constitutional republic, should actually happen to a lawless president.

With Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) running the U.S. Senate, however, it’s not going to happen right now, regardless of the clear merit. If the U.S. House passed an impeachment resolution, Reid would give it no more respect than a used tissue – after waving it around to whip up the party’s base.… Continue Reading

Written by Chad Groening

A conservative icon says while it appears many in the establishment GOP are already rallying around Jeb Bush as their choice for 2016, he thinks it would be better to nominate a “good, principled conservative” to run against someone like Hillary Clinton.

During a recent luncheon in San Antonio, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said he has “nudged” former Florida Governor Jeb Bush (above) to run for president in 2016. Bush has already indicated he is considering a run; and both his brother, George W.… Continue Reading
