Written by David E. Smith

The shooting and death of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis was tragic, completely avoidable, and deserves a full, transparent investigation and a serious response. We cannot ignore the dangerous reality on the ground: federal law-enforcement officers carrying out a vital mission are being targeted, threatened, doxed, assaulted, and routinely obstructed. That cannot continue.

These mob tactics cross the line. The First Amendment guarantees “the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”… Continue Reading

Written by David E. Smith and David E. Curtin

The Illinois Republican State Central Committee (SCC) will be meeting tomorrow to consider how to fill the vacancy left by Chairman Don Tracy, who resigned in June. We are only aware of a couple of candidates who are up for consideration. Of course, we want to see someone who is fully committed to uphold the planks on the sanctity of human life, marriage, family, immigration security and religious liberty.… Continue Reading

Written by Paul Caprio

It is our understanding that the RNC is considering a national platform without mentioning pro-life, pro-family, or parents’ rights issues. That would be a major mistake. Here is why:

Pro-Life Catholics and evangelical Christians make up the largest single GOP voting bloc. Many are low frequency GOP voters, if they vote at all. In 2016 and 2020, evangelical Christians voted for President Donald Trump at a rate of 75-78 percent, according to most post-election polls.… Continue Reading

Will The GOP Uphold the Sanctity of Human Life?

On March 20, 1854, at a schoolhouse in Ripon, Wisconsin, the Republican Party was established to stop the expansion of slavery into western territories. Six years later, Abraham Lincoln was elected as the first Republican president. After Lincoln, 18 other Republicans have been elected to the office of President of the United States.

Since 1973, the Republican Party has officially opposed abortion in its party platform.… Continue Reading

… assuming Irvin was ever with Trump

Written by John Lopez

Back on June 25, 2019, Aurora Mayor, now “Republican” gubernatorial candidate Richard Irvin, said the following:

“Aurora was built by and is still sustained by hardworking families where every dollar counts. We applaud Congresswoman Underwood for her stalwart efforts and fully support H.R.1757 and its goal of providing tax relief to working families.”

As the quote said, Irvin applauded U.S. Representative Lauren Underwood (D-Naperville) in the context of her congressional office’s press release of 6/25/19.… Continue Reading
