In this episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) discusses the progress of the SAVE America Act (S.128), now before the U.S. Senate. The bill would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and a photo ID to cast a ballot. Senator Cruz points to strong public support for these commonsense protections, while also explaining the political obstacles in the Senate and urging Republicans to stand united in forcing a talking filibuster against Democratic opposition.… Continue Reading

A sweeping U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) review has uncovered over 260,000 deceased individuals still listed on voter rolls nationwide—along with thousands of non-citizens registered to vote in federal elections. Now, the DOJ is demanding that Illinois hand over its complete statewide voter-registration database, unredacted, as part of a broader push to enforce federal election-integrity laws. Some states are cooperating; others, including Illinois, are resisting. The stakes for 2026 could not be clearer.… Continue Reading

In addition to voting for federal, state and local candidates, Illinois voters have the opportunity to vote on three advisory questions when casting ballots in the upcoming election. These are non-binding questions and will only function as an official poll of the voting public. However, the results are likely to be used by state lawmakers in the next legislative session in Springfield.

These advisory questions were placed on the general election ballot after Democrats in the Illinois General Assembly passed SB 2412, signed by Governor JB Pritzker on May 3, 2024.… Continue Reading

Earlier this year, Gov. JB Pritzker urged the Democrats in the General Assembly to pass legislation placing three advisory questions on our ballots for the upcoming election. Every voter in the state of Illinois will have the options of voting either Yes or No.

These questions are non-binding, meaning they simply act as an official poll of voters to guide state lawmakers on public opinion regarding questions of policy, but do not directly change law.… Continue Reading

Since Pritzker declared every county in Illinois a disaster on March 9, 2020, he has issued executive orders that far exceed his authority and trample on the rights of Illinois citizens.

Written by Jane Ryan Carrell

There’s exciting news for Illinois voters concerned about the integrity of our elections! A statewide organization, Illinois Conservative Union (ICU), has given notice to the state election authority that it must provide ICU a copy of the state voter rolls, or face a lawsuit.

ICU, an Illinois civic organization, contacted the Illinois State Board of Elections in July, requesting the Illinois voter list data file. The data file is required for analysis by the ICU Election Integrity Program to ensure that the state is conducting proper list maintenance as required by federal law.… Continue Reading

It’s a great time to be a woman in Congress — if you’re a Democrat.

Only 21 of these members are Republican. That’s one Republican woman for every six Democratic women serving in Congress. In last year’s historic midterms, the number of Republican women in Congress actually decreased.

I’ve never been a fan of identity politics, but I understand from experience that identity matters, whether one likes it or not.… Continue Reading

This spotlight features an interview Stephanie Trussell of the Stephanie Trussell show on 890 WLS conducted with Laurie Higgins, IFI’s cultural analyst. Laurie joined Stephanie’s show to discuss the controversy about Illinois Family Action’s recent article calling abortion a holocaust. They discuss the anti-first-amendment resolution and radical abortion proposals in Springfield and what christian conservative grassroots activists need to do about it.… Continue Reading

Written by John Biver

Three Illinois conservatives who have a keen understanding of politics were asked by Illinois Family Action to comment on the upcoming meeting of the Illinois Republican Party’s State Central Committee on May 19th.

A lot is at stake — here are just two related items. First, there’s the question of the establishment’s tampering with the county party State Central Committee elections last month. The outcome of one of the races is being contested.… Continue Reading

Written by John Biver

Many eyes instantly glaze over at the mention of “grassroots” level politics. Conservatives who don’t look to government or the political arena for their sustenance, tend to prefer to leave the fray to others.

In Illinois, that is a problem. The fiscal and moral mess of our state doesn’t exactly attract the best and brightest into the arena. Yet our can be flipped if those silent conservatives across the state (and yes, even in Chicago) step up and join the fight.… Continue Reading
