“Nothing shocks me anymore” is a phrase Christian conservatives find themselves saying with evermore frequency these days, often with a deep sigh. Yet you’ll probably be astounded to learn that Illinois Congressional Democrats voted against the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act (HR 7909) this week.

Joining most of their fellow Democrats in the U.S. House, they voted “no.” The title of a Fox News report highlights the disgrace: “158 Dems vote against bill to deport illegal immigrants who commit sex crimes.… Continue Reading

The first week of October was not a very good one for IL-11 Republican nominee Catalina Lauf of Woodstock. After being elevated by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to full Young Guns status at the end of September, Lauf entered October with a fundraiser planned in Las Vegas and hosted by Congressman Burgess Owens (R, UT) through his Dream Big PAC.

The Washington, D.C. Democrats are at it again.

After their abortion-on-demand legislation from last September failed twice in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives decided to double-down and pass, again, abortion-on-demand under the gaslighting guise of “codifying” Roe v. Wade along with a 2nd bill to ensure access to abortion-on-demand.

The House voting grid from July 15, in spite of a couple of changes to the membership of the House as well as the bill number, is identical to the voting grid from last September:

Here on Illinois Family Action, discernment was stressed to be applied to the six Republican men and women who filed in IL-11.

The candidates include:

Mark Carroll, 48, North Aurora

Jerry Evans, 38, Warrenville

According to Roll Call, Illinois Congresswoman Robin Kelly met with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee about a possible U.S. Senate bid against Mark Kirk, who is considered the most vulnerable senator in 2016.

If Kelly, who is black, enters the race, she’d face a primary against fellow Democratic Rep. Tammy Duckworth, who entered the race a month ago. Democrats say Duckworth, who is disabled, offers a real challenge to Kirk, who is also disabled after a stroke in 2012.… Continue Reading
