The first excerpts of the Jake Tapper-Alex Thompson book on denying former President Joe Biden’s obvious mental decline have been posted, and you can already sense Democrats don’t want to deal with what they have done.

The book’s title is “Original Sin.” Why the biblical title? The authors write:

“The original sin of Election 2024 was Biden’s decision to run for re-election — followed by aggressive efforts to hide his cognitive diminishment.”

Joe Biden may still hold the office of President of the United States, but the media are treating him like he’s anything but a newsmaker. For much of Biden’s presidency, reporters were much more energized to cover the apparent menace of Donald Trump than agitate the officials that were always hiding Biden. Now he seems invisible.

The numbers speak for themselves. MSNBC is suffering through a ratings catastrophe as the disillusioned loyalists, who kept believing the network’s stable of left-wing hosts who continued to promise that Trump was an unelectable Hitler, have walked away.

Lots of articles on how MSNBC's audience has completely collapsed — disappeared — once Kamala lost and the got disillusioned, but the full extent is shocking.

Their prime-time shows can't even get 75k people watching in the key demo (18-54).

On the same day that President Joe Biden implied Jan. 6 was a darker day than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, leftist protesters fought and shoved police and burned the American flag near the Capitol. Their coverage drifted away from the abhorrent murders, rapes and kidnappings committed by Islamic jihadists, to a more sympathetic tone for the people of Palestine and the terrorists that they unequivocally support. After two years of obsessive media promotion and congratulation and live coverage of the Pelosi-picked panel on Jan. 6, the network “newscasts” can’t locate a hearing now with two hands.

President Joe Biden averaged a 56 percent job approval rating from his inauguration through March, according to Gallup, about the same as the ratings of former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W.
